Journal Writing Examples

Journal Writing Examples- Some Extras

My personal journal entries are here not only to help you see some journal writing examples; but also for you to know that I'vebeen right where you are.

They are not always upbeat; I've shared my bad times also. But I wanted to share some of my experience with you through my REAL feelings and what I've written. I hope you enjoy them and find the motivation to keep moving forward like I did.Remember that they are not checked for grammar or anything of the sort... they are journal entries, you get what you see.

These entries are just over 2 months after I had my most recent child. I had to choose again to stay away from binging.

Its always nice to have Kurt home. We took the girls to the fari this morning to see all the animals...

I feel a sense of sadness still... I don't understand... well I do know my hormones are trying to regulate and thats the only answer I can come up with. So I'll just plug along and wait for this to pass.

Sometimes I want more out of my life and relationships. Not that I have anything to complain about. But for things to be 'smooth sailing' and always be easy and 'just right'. I expect perfection and when that doesn't happen... I kind of give up.The "all or nothing" mentality... that kind of thinking worsens depression in general. And I'm working on kicking that.

I find myself viewing my imperfections a lotof the time- not being good enough mom, or wife. Being emotionally attached to eating, losing patience with my kids- not being perfect... I focus on those things and my mistakes and it perpetuates the cycle of being sad and consoling myself with food and staying angry.

I got a lot accomplished yesterday. I was feeling rather good- and then Kurt didn't get home until eight o'clock. It bums me out when I don't get to see him all day. Especially the girls. They wre lucky enough to get a small hug from Dad- they were already tucked in bed, just not asleep yet.

I wanted to gorge myself with food- but I didn't... I allowed myself to fee thos emotions and deal with them. I expressed them to Kurt and did some relaxation while he took a shower.

If you'd like to share you're own journal entry you can do that here. I will personally respond with support!
